Sharing the Paper

Objective:
To appreciate that a quality such as sharing when practiced in the family can make life more interesting,
can bring more unity, and can stop wastage of resources.
Group size:
Each group can be made of 4 or 5 members. Men and women should have separate groups.
Time Required: 20-30 minutes.
Material required:
One sheet of newspaper for every group
Procedure:
Stand in small groups. Each group will have a newspaper sheet. Place the newspaper on the floor while
all the group members stand on it. No one’s feet should touch the floor. Count till five and move out.
Then fold the newspaper to half its size and repeat the same as before. Continue folding the paper to
smaller sizes and keep standing on the paper each time until you are no more able to stand on the
paper while your feet do not touch the floor. Remember to count up to five each time. The groups will
then show their papers to each other.

extended families, the outcomes will be greater happiness, learning to cooperate with each other, and
